I'm K.Mc and and i worked with S. S on Slovakia, as the world cup 2010 is coming up. It was very fun and I learnt a great amount about Slovkia. Slovakia is bordered by the Czech Republic and Austria to the west. Slovakia joined the European Union in 2004 and the Eurozone on January 1st, 2009.The people of Slovakia have different religions and one of them would be Roman Catholics. The current president of Slovakia would be Ivan Gasparovic, which took a five year term to decide, and he's also been president since June the 15th 2004! Also their prime minister is Robert Fico and has been since the 4th of July in 2006. 'Port of Bratislava' is a famous river which is in Bratislava . Most of the famous pieces of art from Slovakia are from the middle ages. People in Slovakia have a special diet, and important meats from the diet are pork,beef and poultry (By poultry i mean foods such as chicken, duck,goose, turkey and a blood sausage called jaternice.) pork is the most important out of all the three. But the most popular is wine as it's enjoyed all the way throughout Slovakia. In the fifa 2010 compertition which is being held in South Africa, Slovakia will be playing the following teams: On the 5th of June New Zealand, 20th of June Paraguay, and on the 24th of June Italy!
