I'm K.Mc and I worked with C.M on the Ivory Coast. First we looked for the information about Ivory Coast to put on our fact sheet. We learnt numerous things about the country Ivory Coast. Did you know it was originally called Cote d'Ivoire? Ivory Coast's first ever president was called Houphouet-Boigny. Ivory Coast's nickname is 'The Elephants' . Ivory Coast's top football scorer is Didier Zokora.The official language of Ivory Coast is French. Most people in the Ivory Coast are 12% Christian, 25% Muslim, and 63% their own traditional religion. One of Ivory Coast's most famous festivals is the Fetes des Masques, (which in english pronounces Festival of Masks.) which takes places in the region of Man and occurs in November. Another week long carnival event is Bouake which is in March. A world famous singer called Alpha Blondy is a well known singer from the Ivory Coast.
